Valve? I know there was a rumor about them coming, because L4D2 takes place in New Orleans. However, this is only unsubstantiated rumor. Sorry.

However, got some new guest announcements coming soon. Want some hints?

Okay, here are more hints...

The frog comes from a different world than FMA.

The scarred one ignores the laws.

The one who can never eat enough is a cueball.

Sweetie, first I'd like to know who you think an "Actual Voice Actor" is. I'd like to point out, even people who do things for Disney animated films can be considered 'Voice actors', as they act, and portray a character through the expression of their voices.
Now, you may have insulted many of the guests with this comment. Kinda mean, don't you think?

Voice Actors such as David Kaye have done work in Transformers as well as InuYasha, something I see you like. Does it make him any less of a 'true' voice actor if he does work in a Mech related series??
He's also played in several Barbie animated films as well. He's talented like that. ^^
If you do mean to insult any Mech related Voice Actors, I'd like to let you know you just insulted over half the cast of InuYasha, something to keep in mind.

Take a second to think that the staff choosing the VA's are announcing right now to keep us in suspense. Don't you think they would wait to announce more names later? Some of them may be more to your taste.
But please, think about how you word something before you post.
Your statement could have looked something like this"
"Hmm, this list of guests is not quiet to my tastes. I noticed there are a few Robotech guests, that's not to my liking, but other people may have asked for them. Here are a list of VA's that myself and a number of other fans with a passion for a different genre of anime would like. *Insert List*"
This way you say it's not to you specific liking, but you also acknowledge that others may have wanted them. And you don't come off quite as selfish.

I'm with you on your quest list of choice, however. I myself am a large fan of InuYasha, I have been since I was a little girl. Sesshy has always held a special place in my heart, along with Miroku. But I do think you could have been a little kinder. Staff at conventions go through hell to get fans what they want, it's not that easy of a job. But trust you, me, they do their damnedest. And when I say this it goes for every convention, not just this one.

Lastly, I'd like to say, this is "MechaCon" we specialize in Mech related anime, yes, but if you look up all of the voice actors, they have done a large range of different things, from Mecha-anime, romance-scifi-anime, romance, shounen, shojo, even Barbie ~_^ etc. etc. The list goes on and on.

So, maybe we can be a little more constructive with our wording, so you can be more solution oriented, instead of critical. ^^
I'm looking forward to the rest of the guest list! Maybe their are some names that are more to 'our' tastes.
I'd like to see a few more FMA people, as well as some Sailor Moon but I don't think the latter will happen any time soon, sadly. ^___^
How about you? :hoho:

/agree.

IMDB the names of some more popular Voice Actors. Most of them have done a large range of work. From dubbing anime, voicing domestic cartoons, dubbing video games, and some on-camera work.

I understand that younger fans of anime may not know who these people are, but you still have to give them the same respect as someone you do know of. They all work just as hard to give you character voices that you love and cherish.

Yes, that is 100% true. Robotech helped to really establish anime in America, and for a lot fans like me, it was one of the first anime we saw, and what got us into anime. Without Robotech, anime would still be this rare obscure thing, and the overwhelming number of cons, including Mechacon, wouldn't exist.
And let's look at some of these "non voice actors" shall we? Tony Oliver, who was Rick Hunter in Robotech, has dozens of voice acting credits, including, X, Gungrave, Chobits, Lupin III, and Naruto. Richard Epcar, who played Ben Dixon and Lunk in Robotech also has dozens of voice acting credits, including Ghost In The Shell, Bleach, Noein, Lucky Star and Overman King-Gainer. So, due to the number and wide variety of their voice acting credits, you can hardly say that they are neither "non voice actors" or that they are just Robotech va's.
Success is not defined by reaching the top of the mountain...but how far from the bottom you started from. The Saints have started from the depths of hell...
For them to reach The Superbowl is to most "a miracle"...but to win it....that would be "life altering" in a way no other fans in the world could even fathom.
